Saturday July 8th, 2006 Roll Over, Flippy, Tiny, Test Dummy and I (Ceg) met up at the Nasty Creek Corals. I hauled the 5 quads there on my trailer.
We rode down the service roads to Louie Way Gap and took a short break.
As we were sitting there a large group of rigs came up from 608. I talked to the lady in charge and she said they had came up from Rimrock Lake. She said 608 wasn't too bad but it could be if it was wet. She said there were some off camber spots too. I am guessing they were the Wandering Willys' Jeep Club. Some of the rigs had that logo.
We headed up 613 toward Strobach Mountain. The first climb out of Louie Way Gap is a steep power climb.
The next real steep part has a lot of big rocks on the trail. Tiny (Pictured below), Test Dummy and I had some problem on one part. I came close to rolling because of too much weight in my rear box.
I came close to eatting this log because of the off camber trail.
Here we stopped at the first view point.
You can see Long Lake below.
As soon as we left the vista we can up on the off camber part of 613.
This is where we use to go under the tree. Someone cut it down.
Back into more off camber stuff. Just add some snow and mud and it becomes real fun.
Flippy and Tiny both could not get up the trail because of the mud.
Winch time for them too!
Here is were Roll Over and Test Dummy parked up the trail. I was bring in my winch when they came up so I didn't see how they made it through.
Here is where I parked until the other made it up.
After all that fun, we went on up for a view.
Here we are at the Strobach Mountain Trail and 613.
We headed on down the Strobach Mountain Trail. The trail is a fun tight trail. The bad thing is there are a lot of rocks in places so it is a bumpy ride.
Here we are bach at the Nasty Creek Corals.
This was a great quad run.
