Trail 637 – Short and Dirty Trail
July 30th, 2005

On July 30th, 2005 I got to ride a long with a few local boys that were running the Short and Dirty Trail.
I rode with Jake in his CJ5. We met up at Blue Lake and aired down.

We climbing up from Blue Lake by Trail 615 to FS1020 near Blue Slide Lookout.
We took FS1020 a little ways to the Short and Dirty Trail. (Trail 637)
This is a picture of the start of the Short and Dirty Trail.

Right as we entered the trees we came up on the first off cambered spot.
It was hairy because there were no trees to stop you from rolling off the mountain if you were to flip over.

The Willys and Toyota both were a little top heavy for parts of this off cambered trail.
With the co-pilot standing on the outside of the high side of the rigs they made it though without rolling over.

Jake’s CJ5 did well without a high side rider.
I walked this part to take pictures.

It was better for a ways.
A little up and down with some tight stuff.

The trail got real tight and off cambered a lot.

Most of the trail was down hill, but one part had a steep hill climb.

Near the end of the trail was a little bridge.

Here you can see the Co-pilot riding the high side of her husband's Willys.

This was the end of the Short and Dirty Trail. It ended at FS1010.
Notice the Co-pilot is running behind the Willys?
She walked a lot of the trail because it was so off camber.

We didn’t know this was a one way trail until we got to the bottom.

I had a great time riding a long with these guys.
I am not for sure I want to take my rig down the Short and Dirty Trail because of the off camber parts.
If I do, I want a heavy co-pilot to ride the high side! Any takers?

This Trail is rated Most Difficult and is not for people with little or no experience.
