Sunday morning for Father’s Day we went to the Ahtanum Sno-park and unloaded the cat from the pickup.
On this run Lisa, Hank, Mandy, Charlie, Doc and I (Clay) were the only ones who went.
We started off by going up A 2400 through Red Saddle and off the other side down to the South Fork Rd. We ran the South Fork Rd. east to the last trail on the left. Then we follow South Fork Rd back west to the next trail and turned up it. This trail took us up to the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail. We headed back east down the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail to where they had it blocked off.
We walked over to the side of the hill and could see the Turkey Trail and the beginning of the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail. We had lunch there and took in the view of Foundation Ridge and Pine Mountain.
After lunch we headed up the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail. After crossing Red Saddle we came across the steep rocky climb that some of our quads riders had a hard time getting up on Memorial Day weekend. We stopped there to check out why the green dot marker was way off the trail. We found the green dot marker was on the old trail. The trail was over grown. It had not been used for a long time. Most likely because it was steeper than the trail we went up. At this point I took a picture of area of Sedge Ridge which we just ran.

After a short break we headed on up the Sedge Ridge Crest Trail to above Cultus Hole.
Here at this point of the trail there is a great view of Whites Ridge, Goat Rocks and Cultus Hole. This is a drop off.
After a quick view we headed on around the top of Cultus Hole. We stopped at the next view point.
In this picture you can see the drop off that we were standing above where we took the pictures with the cross.
Hank and I looked off in Cultus Hole and seen some elk.
Next we headed to the road to Tree Phones.
At Tree Phones we took an outhouse break and than went down the Mid Fork Rd. the 5 miles to Sno-park to load up.
On this run we went 48.1 miles counting the turn arounds we had to make.
After getting home from this nice run we had good BBQ dinner.
This was a great Father’s Day for me. I hope all of the Dads had a good one too!
